We will have THREE observances for the whole family!

- Rosh Hashanah on Thursday, October 3rd @ 2pm

- Yom Kippur on Saturday, October 12th @ 3pm

- Tashlich on Sunday, October 20th during Sukkot

Our community celebration of Sukkot will be on Sunday, October 20th, 2024, with a campout for our oldest students and assistants the night before.

Come and retell the story of Hanukkah from a secular, humanist perspective and then get down and party with us on December 15, 2024!

This year Folkshul will be joining the greater Philadelphia Jewish Community with Purim at the Zoo!

Passover graphic 2021

Celebrating freedom and renewal with a Secular Humanist Jewish lens - April 6, 2025.  Join us for a Seder retelling the story of Passover while highlighting social justice and our obligation to help and speak out wherever we see injustice

Sunday Fundays.png

This program for our littlest secular humanists ages 0 -kindergarten and their parent(s)/guardian(s) is run by Ms. Becky, the former head children's librarian at the Free Library of Philadelphia's Central Branch.  She uses music, movement/yoga and stories to teach about Jewish values.

Social Activism will return in the fall as will Book Club, Arts & Culture activities, and our ongoing Israel Education series.  Mahjongg will take place the first Sunday of the month, puzzling will be available Sunday mornings and more!
