Sunday Fundays: Souper Sunday

Sunday Funday families are invited to join us for our annual Souper Sunday tradition! About the event:

Souper Sunday is a fundraiser for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Mitzvah Food Project, which serves Jewish and non-Jewish households across the region. This multi-phased Jewish Family Education project depends on volunteerism from students, families, and the greater Folkshul community. In the past, we have raised over $1,000 for the Mitzvah Food Project!

Students, parents, and community members decorate beautiful bowls and mugs that our community “buys back” and fills with delicious soup from our very own soup kitchen, featuring Matzo Ball Soup, Veggie Matzo Ball Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Veggie Chili. The funds raised go directly to the Mitzvah Food Pantry.

For this and other events, Folkshul members can find location information and other details in our Essential Weekly newsletter. If you are not a Folkshul member and you’re interested in attending, please contact folkshul@folkshul.org for more information.
